Hi! I'm Dr. Erika Spampinato PT, DPT, CSCS, the owner of True North Physical Therapy in Duluth, MN. I'm so happy that you are here! I have been a physical therapist in the Duluth, MN region since 2018 and have a broad range of experience reaching from some limited pediatrics to outpatient physical therapy and home care. I have seen individuals as young as 7 years old to as old as 105 years old. I have a background in sports and exercise science, which is how I became interested in becoming a physical therapist.

I graduated from Winona State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in movement science with a minor in nutrition. I also obtained my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification at that time and worked as a personal trainer throughout grad school. In 2018, I graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with my clinical doctorate in physical therapy and have been licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin since then.

With all the changes the Covid-19 pandemic brought to our world, telehealth physical therapy was definitely a silver lining. At True North Physical Therapy, my goal is to help as many people as possible. As a busy individual myself, I know how hard it can be to make appointments to take care of your own health. That is why I have started this business - to better serve active and busy individuals no matter where they are so that they can start treatment for their injuries quickly without a referral from a doctor. We can do this by offering the cash-based services of telehealth and concierge physical therapy visits! Offering cash-based services allows me as a physical therapist to practice at the top of my license and provide patients with a whole-body, holistic approach to help them get better faster. Appointments are primarily available during evenings and weekends when most individuals are not working. As my practice grows, I look forward to adding more hours of availability.

When I am not working or growing my business, you can usually find me juggling time spent working on my own personal health, and time spent with my husband (Mike), dogs (Panda and Ranger), as well as with our many family and friends. My favorite activities include weightlifting and enjoying the beautiful outdoors in Duluth (usually along the shore of Lake Superior) and cooking.

I hope we can connect soon! Feel free to send me a message or sign up for a free consult to see whether telehealth or concierge physical therapy is right for you!
